The brand new trailer for The Eminence in Shadow Season 2 is out now. It has set the release window for the much-anticipated return.
When is The Eminence in Shadows Season 2 out?
As per the latest The Eminence in Shadow Season 2 trailer, the series will return with a fresh batch of 12 episodes sometime in October 2023. This is in line with the history of the series, which premiered its first season in October 2022 and ended earlier this year in February.

Based on the light novel series written by Daisuke Aizawa and illustrated by Tzai, The Eminence in Shadow was originally released in 2019. The series was also adapted into a manga in the same year. Both the light novel and manga are ongoing, with the series collected in five and 11 volumes, respectively.
“Some people just aren’t suited to playing charming, in-your-face heroes or dastardly, mustache-twirling villains,” reads the official synopsis for the series. “Instead, they work in the shadows and pull the strings of society through wit and shrewdness. This is the role Syd seeks to play when he passes on to the other world. Syd spins a yarn or three and leads the underground Shadow Garden organization. becomes an unlikely leader who fights against a dangerous cult (that he completely made up). However, there’s a catch that even his wildest imagination didn’t see coming: the cult he concocted actually exists, and they’re furious that their power fantasy just got in the way of their evil plans!
