Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering with Computer Science, Information Systems or related field.
  • At least 3 years of development work experience using Section 508 testing and design.

Preferred Qualification : Trusted Tester certification or any other Section 508 Certification.

Job Description: 
Cerner is elated to hire a Solution and Test Designer. As a Solution and Test Designer, you will use epics, features, solution vision, market need to write user stories and requirements into clear, workable solution and risk control requirements. In this role you will support the development team in planning and estimating resource needs. This role also requires you to prioritize backlog to support product roadmap according to business value and also manage relationships with internal, external stakeholders and keep them informed, engaged throughout the project lifecycles. As a Solution and Test Designer you will lead and own discussions between development team, subject matter experts, internal users or client-facing teams to clarify user stories, track issues or resolve problems. Your responsibilities also include executing and maintaining evidence of testing for manual, automated and exploratory tests using a risk-based testing complex. As a Solution and Test Designer you will validate products a per the Section 508 compliance and document deviations as per the process and tools. In this role, you will educate the peers about how a typical challenged worker expects the product to behave. Additionally, you will Work with test designers to include all the required use cases from PWD worker perspective.
